Com System Folders

There are three standard, parent folders: Inbox, Sent Items and Trash.

The standard folders depicted in the graphic above are created by default for each User.

You cannot change the names of these folders, nor can you delete them. However, you can create subfolders for each of the standard folders.

To open subfolders, click the parent folder to which a subfolder belongs. If any subfolders exist, they will open slightly indented below the parent folder. Subfolders can have subfolders.

Adding Folders

Users can add subfolders beneath the standard folders in any hierarchical fashion they want. All subfolders a User creates are visible only to that User. On the Com System window:

  1. Click Manage Folders.

  1. Select the folder to which you want to add a subfolder. The folder’s name appears in the Folder name field.
  2. (Optional) Type a subfolder name in the Add subfolder (name) field.
  3. Click Submit.

Editing Folder Names

You can edit the names of the subfolders you created. On the Com System window:

  1. Click Manage Folders.
  2. Select the standard folder that contains your subfolder.
  3. Click the subfolder. The folder’s name appears in the Folder name field.
  4. (Optional) Edit the subfolder name.
  5. (Optional) Type or edit the name of the subfolder in the Add subfolder (name) field.
  6. Click Submit.

Deleting Folders

You can delete subfolders you created. On the Com System window:

  1. Click Manage Folders.
  2. Select the standard folder that contains the subfolder you want to delete.
  3. Click the subfolder. The folder’s name appears in the Folder name field.
  4. Click the Delete check box.
  5. Click Submit.
